“Find a job that you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” philosophy perfectly applies to my situation. My name is Agata Rocka and I am one of those lucky people who truly enjoy their job. I chose to be a graphic designer because I am creative and believe in the value of visual communication. It helps that I am organized, have formal business school education, and come from a family of small business owners.
Life is too short to blend in.
I graduated from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with a concentration in Marketing. My parents started their own small store and I was lucky to have the chance to watch them run and grow their business. I have been basically working in one capacity or another since I was about 10. Most important lesson I’ve learned about work ethics? Take pride in your work and always do the best you can. If you’d like to know more about me – my education, work history or Polish heritage – I’m happy to chat any time. Unless I’m watching Love, Actually – then you’re on your own.
If I’m not designing, I’m cooking (which is part designing anyways), chasing my beloved kiddo, or traveling. I have a long list of places to see before I die and a nice list of terrific spots I have already been fortunate to experience in person. Any recommendations?
